Harmen Dhaliwal
Harmen Dhaliwal is a Legal Assistant at Powell Litigation. Her interest in law began at the age of 14, when she gained firsthand experience assisting with a Small Claims Court matter by researching relevant information, organizing evidence, and helping structure arguments. Since then, she has also gained experience supporting Residential Tenancy Board matters.
As a Legal Assistant and aspiring law student, Harmen brings attention to detail, careful preparation, and a commitment to helping clients understand the legal process. She supports the Powell Litigation team across a broad range of civil and commercial litigation matters and is able to assist clients in both English and Punjabi.

Professional & Community Involvement
Harmen is actively involved in the Sikh and Ismaili communities through volunteer service, event support, and youth education initiatives.
- Seva at Gurdwaras: Supports daily operations, including maintaining prayer and dining halls, preparing and serving food, and assisting with other community needs.
- World Partnership Walk – Aga Khan Foundation: Assists with volunteer onboarding, event coordination, setup and takedown, refreshments, and site cleanup.
- Vaisakhi Parade (Khalsa Day/Nagar Kirtan): Assists with event setup, refreshments, medical supplies, and cleanup.
- Spring Gurmant Camp – Gurdwara Bhavsagar Taran: Teaches Sikh studies to youth ages 8–16, including Punjabi literacy, daily prayers, Sikh history, and traditional musical skills.
Outside the Office
Outside the office, Harmen enjoys travelling, playing soccer, and taking on challenging puzzles. She enjoys experiences that challenge her perspective and fuel her curiosity.
