Jan Michael Ramlochan, B.Comm., LL.B. is Director of Operations at Powell Litigation, where he is responsible for the firm’s day-to-day business operations. He leads with a focus on operational excellence, efficiency, and disciplined growth, bringing more than 15 years of experience running the business side of law firms and building the financial and administrative infrastructure that allows legal practices to scale effectively.

Reporting directly to firm leadership, Jan Michael sets and oversees the operational strategy behind the firm’s performance, including firm-wide KPI governance, financial visibility, and the systems and processes that allow lawyers to concentrate on cases and clients as the firm grows.

Earlier in his career, Jan Michael founded and led a national legal operations advisory practice for 12 years, working with more than 100 law firms and legal organizations across Canada. He has managed operating budgets in the tens of millions of dollars and has experience scaling legal practice divisions ahead of successful sales.

Jan Michael holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Essex and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto. He is currently working toward his Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. His approach to legal operations is calm, disciplined, and execution-focused, with an emphasis on building the operational infrastructure that supports Powell Litigation’s continued growth.
