Arian Monadjem
Arian joined the firm as an associate in 2023 and is developing a broad and dynamic litigation practice. He brings a combination of strategic thinking, sound judgment, and creativity to every file—especially when things look hopeless.
Arian has represented clients before all levels of the Ontario courts, including various administrative tribunals, advocating in matters ranging from high-stakes commercial disputes to urgent individual claims. Arian also believes that many disputes can be resolved through dialogue and consultation and will often suggest alternative approaches to dispute resolution.
Representative Cases:
- An appeal on a novel point of law, regarding arbitrations agreements and enforcement of international judgments.
- A dispute where multiple misrepresentations induced a buyer to purchase a telecommunications company for 100 times its true value.
- A dispute regarding an alleged reprisal by an employer when an employee was terminated for cause within the term of her probation period.
- A dispute where a car dealership made multiple misrepresentations to convince an out of province buyer to purchase a classic collector car with hundreds of hidden issues.
- A dispute between two doctors involving an agreement to purchase an outdated medical practice that compromised the safety of thousands of patients.
Arian is an appointed member of the Advocates’ Society’s Young Advocates Standing Committee (YASC), one of 40 lawyers across Canada selected to represent the interests of lawyers within their first 10 years of call. He currently serves as the deputy editor of Keeping Tabs, and on the YASC Pro Bono committee.
